Boudoir Frequently Asked Questions
For Clients – Hiring a Boudoir Photographer
What is a boudoir session with Photographus? A private, collaborative session focused on tasteful, sensual, and empowering images of you. The style leans fine-art and implied rather than purely explicit. The goal is images that feel beautiful, strong, and personal — not clinical or cheap.
How private is the session? Extremely. Sessions are one-on-one. No assistants are present unless you specifically request one. Images are never shared publicly without your explicit written permission. Your files are stored securely and only accessible to you (and me for delivery purposes).
What should I wear or bring? You can bring lingerie, robes, sheer fabrics, favorite jewelry, or simply nothing. I also keep a small selection of robes and fabrics available. Comfort and how the pieces make you feel matter more than perfection. We can discuss wardrobe during the planning call.
I’m nervous / self-conscious. Is that normal? Very normal. Most clients feel this way before the session and relaxed by the end. The process is collaborative, paced to your comfort, and focused on what feels good to you rather than forcing poses.
How long is a typical session? Most sessions run 1.5–2.5 hours of actual shooting time, plus time for hair/makeup (if booked) and a short consultation. We never rush.
What do I receive after the session? A private online gallery of the fully edited images. You select and purchase the images you want (digital files, prints, or canvas). High-resolution files are available. There is no pressure to buy a large package.
Where do sessions take place? Primarily in the Phoenix / Scottsdale area (private studio or carefully selected outdoor locations with privacy). Travel can sometimes be arranged.
