Who is PhotoGraphus?

While some discover their passion early in life, others stumble upon it by happenstance, as was the journey of Latin American photographer Christian Sosa. In 2003, amid the fallout of the dot-com bubble burst, countless companies shuttered, leaving many displaced from their careers. Christian, then working in the IT sector, suddenly found himself at a crossroads, compelled to seek a new path far removed from the world of code, cables, and computers.

In 2004, equipped with a digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR), Christian took his first steps into photography by capturing headshots of friends employed as background actors in Hollywood. This initial foray soon expanded into photographing anything and everything imbued with artistic potential. As Christian honed his technical mastery of the DSLR, his portfolio diversified, spanning from jewelry and shoes to calendar shoots featuring professional models, facilitated by platforms such as Craigslist and ModelMayhem.

Christian's evolving expertise led him to a pivotal role as an Apple Technician at the famous Samy's Camera in Los Angeles. Here, immersion in a community of seasoned photographers and access to advanced equipment deepened his commitment to the craft. With a blend of technical prowess, an instinctual eye for framing compelling imagery, and an unwavering passion, Christian Sosa transcends boundaries behind the lens.
